THE MECHANISM
No added chemicals. No or Minimum sludge to haul.
At the surface of BDD anode, Ti/MMO anode, applied current drives pollutants to oxidize directly, and generates hydroxyl radicals (•OH) that break down what’s left. The result runs continuously, with no chemical dosing and no sludge to dewater downstream.
Electrochemical oxidation degrades wastewater pollutants either directly, through electron transfer at the anode surface where contaminants adsorb and are oxidized on contact, or indirectly, through reactive oxidants such as hydroxyl radicals, chlorine, or ozone generated at the electrodes that then react with pollutants throughout the bulk solution.Hydroxyl raidcal are premier oxidants with high oxidation potential and non-selective nature.
