Confidentiality & Wastewater Project Information Policy

This policy explains how Evoaeo handles technical, commercial, and wastewater-related information submitted during project inquiries, laboratory evaluations, treatment studies, engineering discussions, and related communications.

This page is intended to explain Evoaeo’s general confidentiality practices. It does not replace a separately signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (“NDA”).

Where Evoaeo and a customer enter into a signed NDA, the terms of that NDA will govern confidential information covered by the agreement.

1. Information Customers May Provide

Customers may provide information including:

  • wastewater analysis reports;
  • pollutant concentrations;
  • COD data;
  • pH;
  • conductivity;
  • salinity;
  • flow rates;
  • process descriptions;
  • production information;
  • treatment objectives;
  • equipment layouts;
  • photographs;
  • technical drawings;
  • operating records;
  • laboratory reports;
  • discharge requirements;
  • project schedules;
  • commercial information.

This information may be used to evaluate treatment feasibility and prepare technical recommendations.

2. Purpose of Information Collection

Evoaeo may use submitted information to:

  • assess wastewater characteristics;
  • evaluate treatment feasibility;
  • select treatment processes;
  • recommend electrode configurations;
  • estimate equipment size;
  • prepare quotations;
  • conduct laboratory testing;
  • prepare pilot studies;
  • communicate technical recommendations;
  • develop project proposals.

3. Confidential Treatment of Project Information

Evoaeo intends to handle non-public technical and commercial project information with reasonable care.

Access may be limited to personnel who need the information for legitimate project purposes, including:

  • engineers;
  • laboratory personnel;
  • technical specialists;
  • project managers;
  • commercial personnel;
  • authorized service providers.

4. Information That Is Not Confidential

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, confidential information generally does not include information that:

  • is publicly available;
  • was already lawfully known by Evoaeo;
  • is independently developed without reference to confidential information;
  • is lawfully received from another source;
  • is disclosed with the owner’s permission.

5. Sensitive Industrial Information

Customers should identify information they consider particularly sensitive before submission.

This may include:

  • proprietary chemical formulations;
  • production methods;
  • trade secrets;
  • confidential process information;
  • customer identities;
  • unpublished environmental data.

For highly sensitive information, customers are encouraged to arrange an NDA before submitting detailed materials.

6. Non-Disclosure Agreements

Evoaeo may enter into NDAs for appropriate projects.

An NDA may define:

  • confidential information;
  • permitted use;
  • authorized recipients;
  • disclosure restrictions;
  • confidentiality period;
  • return or destruction of information;
  • governing law;
  • dispute provisions.

Customers requiring an NDA should contact Evoaeo before providing confidential technical information.

7. Laboratory Samples

Where wastewater samples are submitted for testing, customers are responsible for providing adequate information regarding sample hazards.

Customers should disclose known characteristics including:

  • toxicity;
  • corrosivity;
  • flammability;
  • biological hazards;
  • reactive chemicals;
  • hazardous substances;
  • unusual storage requirements.

Evoaeo may refuse samples that cannot be safely handled.

8. Sample Handling

Wastewater samples may be used for:

  • electro oxidation testing;
  • analytical testing;
  • treatment feasibility studies;
  • electrode evaluation;
  • process optimization.

Sample handling procedures may depend on:

  • sample composition;
  • laboratory capability;
  • storage requirements;
  • transportation conditions.

Unused samples may be disposed of after testing unless other arrangements have been agreed.

9. Test Results and Reports

Test data and technical reports may include:

  • treatment conditions;
  • removal performance;

  • electrical consumption;

Ownership and permitted use of detailed project reports may be governed by the relevant quotation, testing agreement, NDA, or project contract.

Evoaeo will not intentionally publish identifiable confidential customer information without authorization.

Where treatment experience is referenced for technical or educational purposes, customer-identifying information should be removed or permission obtained where appropriate.

11. Third-Party Laboratories and Service Providers

Some projects may require the use of third-party laboratories, logistics providers, engineering specialists, or other service providers.

Where necessary, relevant information may be shared with such parties for legitimate project purposes.

Evoaeo will seek to limit disclosure to information reasonably required for the relevant work.

12. Legal Disclosure

Evoaeo may disclose information where required by:

  • applicable law;
  • regulation;
  • court order;
  • governmental authority;
  • other legally binding requirement.

Where legally permitted, Evoaeo may notify the affected customer before disclosure.

13. Data Security

However, no electronic communication or data storage method can guarantee absolute security.

Customers should avoid transmitting highly sensitive information through unsecured communication channels.

14. Retention of Project Information

Project information may be retained for purposes including:

  • warranty support;
  • legal compliance;
  • future service requirements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and project requirements.

15. Relationship to Privacy Policy

Personal information contained within project communications is handled according to the Evoaeo Privacy Policy.
