Custom System Design Consultation

Turn Bench Data Into a Specified System

Once a bench or pilot test confirms electrochemical oxidation works on your stream, this is where charge density and removal data become electrode area, current density, and power supply requirements. Consultations are scoped from your own test data, not a standard vendor sizing sheet.

Why engineers trust this process

This consultation assumes bench or pilot data already exists for your stream. Design work without a measured charge density and removal curve is a guess, not a specification. If you don’t have that data yet, start with a pilot or bench test — it’s the input this consultation depends on.

What you receive

What the Consultation Delivers

Every item below is sized against your bench or pilot results, and flagged if your existing data isn’t sufficient to specify it with confidence.

Electrode Area and Cell Configuration

Electrode area, plate count, and stack or cell arrangement sized to your design flow rate and target charge density.

Current Density and Power Supply Rating

Recommended operating current density and the voltage, current, and kW rating of the power supply it requires.

Energy Consumption Model

A kWh/m³ estimate at the recommended operating point, built from your bench energy data, not a vendor rule of thumb.

Electrode Material Recommendation

BDD versus MMO guidance based on your byproduct profile, target compound, and expected electrode service life.

Before the consultation

What We Need From You

The more of this we have, the more precisely the design can be scoped. Fields marked optional still help — leave them blank and we’ll flag what’s missing before the consultation.

NDA required

Yes / no — and whether site identity should stay undisclosed

Submission is reviewed by a process engineer within 2 business days. We’ll confirm receipt, flag anything missing, and propose a time to discuss the design.

Your data is secure

We do not share your bench data, site details, or discharge targets with third parties.

Reviewed by an engineer

Every design brief is read and scoped by a process engineer, not routed through a sales queue.

NDA available on request

For proprietary matrix data or undisclosed site locations, we'll sign an NDA before you share details.

How it works

How the Design Consultation Proceeds

1

Submit bench data and design brief

Bench or pilot results, design flow rate, and discharge target are reviewed against what's needed to specify a system.

2

Engineer review and clarifying questions

Gaps in the data are flagged here — before design work starts, not after a spec has already been drafted.

3

Design consultation call

Electrode configuration, current density, and power supply options are discussed directly with the engineer who sized them.

4

Preliminary design package delivered

Electrode area, power supply rating, energy model, and materials recommendation, documented for internal review.

Why these designs hold up

Built From Data, Reviewed by an Engineer

Traceable to measured data

Every electrode area and current density figure in the package traces back to a specific point on your bench charge-density curve, not an assumed removal rate.

Honest about the limits of the data

If your bench data doesn't cover the flow range, contaminant mix, or operating window the design needs, the package says so instead of extrapolating quietly.

Engineer-authored, not automated

A process engineer reviews the bench data, drafts the design, and signs off on it before it's sent — there's no automated sizing tool in the loop.

Common questions

Design Consultation FAQ

In almost all cases, yes. Electrode area and current density are sized from your measured charge-density curve. Without that, the consultation can only offer a rough range based on published data for similar streams, which isn’t a substitute for a specification. If you don’t have bench data yet, start with a pilot test.
We’ll size the design for the range your data supports and flag where extrapolation would be required beyond it. In some cases that means recommending a small additional bench run at a different flow rate before finalizing the spec, rather than guessing at how the system behaves outside tested conditions.
The consultation delivers the technical specification — electrode area, power supply rating, energy model. For a cost range built on that specification, use the cost estimator, or ask for one alongside the design package.
The package is prepared by a process engineer, but professional engineer (PE) stamping requirements vary by state and jurisdiction, and not every deliverable requires one. If your permitting process needs a stamped drawing, tell us during intake so it can be scoped as part of the engagement rather than added after the fact.

NDA-first

We sign NDAs before any confidential bench data or site details are shared.

Engineer-designed

Every design is produced and reviewed by a process engineer, not generated from a lookup table.

Submission-ready

Packages are formatted for internal capital approval and, where scoped, for permitting review.
