Press Release About Electro Oxidation Wastewater Treatment System EOWS01
Release of Evoaeo Electro Oxidation Wastewater Treatment System EOWS01
Evoaeo team are testing our integrated electro oxidation wastewater treatment system EOWS01 prior to official diapatching to our clients to install advanced electro oxidation units for further enhancement on treatment efficiency over refractory organic compounds on Oct 2nd,2024.
EOWS01 is our latest electro oxidation wastewater treatment system based on advanced oxidation processes, designed for pilot scale wastewater electrolysis and electro oxidation wastewater treatment installation, we managed to integrate our electro oxidation modular electrolyzer cells and all types of supporting systems.
A closer look at the HMI control panel of EOWS01, easy to use, and user friendly operation, are two of the top primary aspects within the design and development process of EOWS01, and later upgradation to EOWS01 Version C. As our pilot scale electro oxidation wastewater treatment system are designed for treatment of complex industrial effluents with highly toxic, high concentrated refractory organic compounds, here at Evoaeo, we dedicated to provide water treatment products from trial, to bench, then up to pilot scale onsite wastewater treatment solutions to wastewater treatment sectors and environment protection services.

Electro Oxidation Wastewater Treatment System Explained
Electro oxidation (EO) is so far, the most efficient technology amongst advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), electro oxidation wastewater treatment techniques remove refractory organic compounds by applying electric current between electrolyte, anodic and cathodic electrode materials, that is to remove organic pollutants by oxidizing power of active oxidizing agents, givens its unmatched organic pollutants removal efficiency.
In this next section, we explain the basic steps and elements involves in the electro oxidation processes.
Electrode material selection and setup: Wastewater electrolysis via electro oxidation requires two electrodes, anodic electrode (anode) and a cathodic electrode (cathode), both electrodes are connected to a power source, immersed into the electrolyte.
Electric current input: The electro oxidation reactor system is supplied with electric current to expedite electron flow.
Oxidizing agents generation processes: Strong oxidizing species are formed that interact with and degrade contaminants. Once electric current is applied and electrolyte are provided, electron flow react with elecrtodes and electrolyte to generate strong oxidizing agents, these oxidizing species have high oxidizing power, they interact with organic compounds and mineralize these compounds into intermediates or inorganic compounds, water, and carbon dioxide.
Electrolytic reaction processes: Electrolytic reactions occur at the surface of the electrodes, especially the oxidation process on the surface of anode.
Organic pollutant removal: organic pollutants are removed by electroflotation, sedimentation, and adhesion to bubbles.
Here at Evoaeo, we dedicated to research and development of electro oxidation wastewater treatment products, and we select electrode materials via a vast variety of comparisons over properties such as treatment efficiency/organic compounds mineralization level, current efficiency, energy consumptions, corrosion, availability, anode is critical since the critical oxidation processes happen on the surface of the anode, and then we choose boron doped diamond electrode as the anodic electrode material for electro oxidation system as boron-doped diamond electrodes are electrochemically and physically stable, corrosion-resistant, less chance of fouling, which means longer lifespan, lower adsortptions means there are few side reactions, and they have the widest potential window, optimal oxygen evolution overpotentials means electro generation of oxidizing agents such as hydroxyl radicals and etc, high current efficiency.
Electro oxidation wastewater treatment systems can be designed in many ways to meet needs, requirement, and regulation standard of different wastewater treatment from different industries and sectors, in this next part, I will bring more information about types of wastewater could be treated by electro oxidation technology.
Which Kind Of Wastewater Could Be To Treated By Electro Oxidation Wastewater Treatment Technology?
Electro oxidation technology is mainly adopted to treat industrial effluents, especially waste stream with following features:
Wastewater with strong acid with a pH value approaching 0 or strong base pH reaching 14 (except fluoride ion)
-With years of experiments and testing, we managed to locate a collection of electro oxidation wastewater treatment products that can stand harsh environment, thanks to various tests within the electrode material selection processes, we managed to adopt boron-doped diamond electrode as the anodic electrode, and core material of our electro oxidation wastewater treatment product lines.
Wastewater with high salinity, typical industrial effluents from sectors adding huge amounts of chemicals relevant to salt and etc, within their manufacturing processes, for instances, petrochemical, chemical and special chemical manufacturing, food processing, leather tanning, textile and dyeing, pharmaceuticals, mining operations, and desalination plants, which lead to high salt concentrations in waste stream discharge from the sectors I mentioned above. When it comes to electro oxidation, removal of organic compounds relies on electric current, or potential window between anodes and cathodes, we can maintain certain range of salt content, to remain a higher conductivity within the electrolyte, which eventually lower energy consumption.
High concentration wastewater, electro oxidation could be adoped to treatment concentrate after membrane, MVR, or reverse osmosis (RO) concentrates.
Toxic wastewater with huge amount of CN-, NaN3, organophosphorus, organic sulfur, etc, as hydroxyl radicals break C-C, and C-N bonds, and other oxidizing agents involve in direct oxidation with organic compounds.
Other water defined as hazardous waste streams.
The national discharge standard/end water production improvement is not stable for final stabilization and standard treatment.
